My limited experience suggests that 3R tends to be pretty expensive, however it's hard to argue their recent success in the Speed Channel GT Championship.
Another place you might consider is Autosport Werks in Broomfield.

Hey Pete,
All three of the shops that you mentioned have great reputations in the Denver area.
3R is primarily a race prep and fabrication shop from what I have seen. They are very well respected but I don't personally know of anyone who has had a PPI done there.
Eurosport is a great shop owned by a guy named Greg Johnson. He is a long time PCA member who is well known, liked, and respected here. I consider him to be friend of mine. He will certainly be able to do a great job for you.
I personally would use Storz Garage. These guys (Bob in particular) may completely put you off on the phone, but they are honest beyond reproach. This is an old-school, no B.S, blue collar Porshce shop. They will not hesitate to tell you if the car you are looking at is a P.O.S. or not. You will want Bob or Harry to do the PPI.
Which car are you looking at? I know many of the cars here in Denver for sale and might be able to offer some insight.
Good luck,
Jess

When did 3R win the Speed Challenge GT Championship? Galati with Champion Audi has won it in 2001 and 2002. Jeff McMillen won it the year before that.
The top 3R driver this past year was Randy Pobst and he finished 3rd in the championship battle.

All,
Thanks for the tips. It looks like Autosport Werks will get the business. They are closest to the prospect car. They also seem best prepared to deal with a 993, the others seem to specialize more in older 911's.
Jess,
You have email.
Thanks all and happy holidays.

Peter, I'll second Mike's recommendation for AutoSport Werks. They've done the work on my 993 C4S in the past and are now working on my 993 racecar. Dave has worked with On the Edge Racing and the Racer's Group, and is very good.
If you're around and want to see a few 993s and other Porsches on the track, come out to Second Creek. There are free track days from the 26th through the first, and the weather is pretty good. We'll be there from 9:00 Friday, and perhaps on the weekend if it doesn't get too crazy with the carts and bikes. Bring a helmet and I'll take you out in the racecar.

Skip, thanks for the offer, I wish I could jet out there tonight and take you up on it. Maybe next time.
My company has an office in DTC maybe I'll find an excuse to show up at a meeting there.
