Turbo nose onto narrow body 993 ?
Hi Guys,
Has anyone ever put a standard turbo nose onto a narrow body 993? Did you have any problems. Porsche says that it will not fit, Gert and others say that it will and I tend to believe them. Does anyone have any real experience?
Thanks and regards,
David

I've seen numerous photos on this board so I know it's a direct replacement, and it looks perfectly natural on the narrow body. I want to do it myself and have been trying to find a used turbo nose....

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your input. It's weird isn't it as the Porsche dealers are telling me that Turbo wings are more flared out at the front and so the nose won't it while Robin's photos seems to tell a different story.... Gert says there is no issue so I am wondering why Porsche has to spoil things by making this claim?
Cheers,
David

Moi aussi
No difference in the front fenders between standard and widebodies, just the rears. (And I really want to get me one of the new breed of digital camera's.)

Hey Guys,
Thanmks for the photos. The cars look great. I had a slight accident and may be able to get the nose replaced on the insurance so I'll let you know how I get on.
Cheers,
David

And if you go with the Euro, make sure that the bodyshop doesn't cut the cover to refit the bumperettes, as happened to an unfortunate Rennlister recently...
PS Just noticed you're in Blighty, so you should be ok.

Hi Todd,
The colour is called "Zenith Blue" and here's a few more pics.

Edit: the colour in the big picture is tweaked in the digital processing. As usual, reality is different from both images. NH
