Default Targa door seal cover - remove and replace question

I want to replace a torn rubber strip that is part of the cover, see PN #13 of PET. I've removed the 2 plastic expansion rivets but the cover is not budging. It appears this cover is glued to the door seal and before I begin prying on the cover, does anyone know if this is glued? And if glued to the door seal, how do I separate the cover, a $35 part, without tearing the door seal - PN #7 a $600 part? Maybe a 3M glue release agent?

Thanks

Thanks Andy.

This is the area of the windshield frame where the cover is glued.

I took another look with a flashlight and I see the metal cover is not glued onto the door seal but is glued to the underside of the windshield frame. Has anyone removed and replaced this cleanly. The cover is a metal with a rubber strip towards the door. The rubber strip on my passenger side separated at the top and I did a **** job trying to glue it and have to replace the entire cover to do it right.

When the door is closed it looks like this. Yeah I know I should have used black glue instead of what I had available, headliner glue.
