I would have to order another non vented cap. Trying to understand how this would effect it.

My thought was that the vent cap mod may have coincided with the symptoms, and swapping the cap is easier than inspecting trans input splines.

Curious on your clutch condition.

This was a pic before I disassembled everything. I replaced clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, RMS etc. while I was in there.
Clutch was toast! Leaking RMS did it in.

Not looking good!

I’ll send one to you. Do you know if the CW is still on the original clutch?

Thanks for the info. Did you stick with the dual mass flywheel? I'm also on original clutch.

Yes, I put in a new DMF. I considered LWF but opted for DMF since I think it fits my usage style over time better. For many of my drives, I am taking a road trip with my wife or daughter and I like the drivablity that the DMF offers.

If you debating options for driveability: I've just gone to LWF / Clutch but with MPL slave cylinder to hopefully keep easy to drive, important for me and wife and long trips, while improving response. Not back together yet so cannot tell you if I screwed up or not.
My clutch (orig and now at 67k) was a few drag starts off the rivets. Surprised me, we have historically been real easy on clutches, because we dont do drag starts lol.
