My airbox was missing the top clip to the airbox when I bought my car and I ordered a replacement. Is this what the top clip of the airbox should look like? I was expecting something a bit different... also, it doen't seem to fit quite right and seems like doesn't hold the lid on very tightly.

Okay, I ordered 993 110 116 01. This is what was sent.

Is that the correct part # for the airbox clip that is supposed to be used on a 1996 993?

Whoa.. either there are two types of clips or someone has the wrong clip on their airbox.

You ordered the clip that holds the air box to the air mass meter. As SB said, you need to order the 993 110 116 00.

true the lower clip on my airbox does look like a wire and plastic type deal


guess you're referencing to the parts diagram? That is what I used to obtain my part # that I ordered, so yes, it is this metal looking clip that they sent.

have a look at nota_troll's recent picture of his cover. In it, the top clip seems to be that wire/plastic looking clip you first mentioned. I was expecting something similar to this to show up in the mail.

Kelly, I think you misunderstood SB.
993 110 116 01 is what you ordered and it's the wrong one (one-piece spring clip).
993 110 116 00 is what you need and that's what's in Nota's car on that pic and in your car on the lower part of your airbox cover (two-piece wire-plastic one).

Hope that clears it up, as I need to order one too.

Yep, finally sunk in what was being said. Sorry, guys... just got off working the midnight shift and not the sharpest crayon in the box at this point.
