Anyone looking for a front protection bar for their 993?

Dixon,
Pardon my suspicions, but how do you go from having 3 extra's because "the people who wanted them backed out sticking me with 3 bars" to having 15 more to sell? That's a big departure from your original post...
I'd appreciate an explanation.
Matt

Sorry about my momentary panic... I got email from Dixon today. He will send me the tracking info later. I have no reason to think he is anything but a stand-up guy, but he told me I'd have that tracking number yesterday, and when he didn't respond to last nights email (until just now), I wanted to let people know.
I guess I'd also be interested in the answer to Gert's question.

Mark from Balimore told me about the fourm posts. (thanks Mark)
I assure everyone I am not trying to rip anyone off. Please do not e-mail me for bars until you hear back from the first few people when they get a tracking number and the item.
I would also like to say that I have 15 more bars. Some polished and some NOT POLISHED (Original state, but with stinless capped ends) I can use my polishing machine to polish them if you like. My mechanic ordered a few a while back and when I went there yesterday to pick up the mounting harware for the bars he told me he didn't sell any. I am confued as to why they are so popular over here on the board, but not at actual physical stores.
So I have a few more. So if anyone is worried wait till the first few people get them and confirm with everyone that they got it and is exactly as described and then ask me for the bar.
I didn't want to come here and make people worry but to get rid of the bars I had and now the bar my mechanic has. I'm so sorry for all the confusion.
The bar will all be sent out Thursday and all tracking numbers will be provided to all.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,Geneva">WARNING! POSSIBLE SCAM HERE...
The poster by the user name "Dixon C4S" aka Dixon Kwong appears to be from Ontario, Canada. Now, I am not sure if he is, or is related to, Pierre Tien but I just assume he might be another scam artist. If the bars were not purchased from Gert, it would be my guess that this person has copied Gert's bar and is trying to sell it.

IP numbers are usually bought in large blocks by internet service providers, so you can usually get a geographic location as well.
However, many people get IP addresses assigned dynamically, so it's not always possible to pinpoint 1 person to 1 IP address. This the case for dialup users and some broadband users.
So it looks suspicious that the person put New York in his signature file and is actually connecting from Ontario. It is concievable that he is dialing his ISP in Ontario from New York, but not very likely.
Hope this helps..

I also sent a paypal payment before seeing this thread today.
Paypal resolved the the email name of dixonc4s@hotmail.com to "Patrick and Mable Tien"
I sent "Dixon" an email requesting explanation and he sent a very polite reply explaining the source of the additional bars and that the paypal account is actually a relative's.

Why deal with some unknown (or maybe well known if my suspicions are accurate) scam artist? You can get a great product like this directly from Gert for the same or a better price.

Greg,
I actually thought that I would be able to help a fellow Rennlister unload some extra parts, and at the same time, get a bar that I can use. I was actually NOT in the market for a bar at the time I saw his post. I'm still hoping this is just a big misunderstanding. But then, I'm still expecting the stock market to recover any day now.
Dixon? Are you there? How about some answers?

FWIW, Pierre Tien's past aliases on this board were:
- R SQUADRON 911 (user number 4035)
- ICONRACING993 (user number 9154) <a href="http://www.icon-productions.net/" target="_blank">http://www.icon-productions.net/</a>
If anyone knows of other aliases for Pierre, please post them.
Thank you,

I, too, was/am concerned that he was not selling one of Gert's products as promised but Dixon/Patrick's e-mail is "clear" that these bars originated from Gert. Obviously, Gert's post contradicts the claims.
Moreover, Dixon/Patrick sure did not allay any fears by stating that he had FIFTEEN more bars that his "mechanic" had ordered. Aaah, the acrid whiff of surreptitiousness...
Yes, I am concerned but my objective and fair side says, before I enact my scorch the earth policy, to hold off until I get an adequate explanation. I paid with PayPal through my credit card. I sure hope others have paid in a safe manner.
Dixon/Patrick?
Turning out to be a bit of drama on this dreary afternoon.
