Sports are rebuildable and have a lifetime warranty.

This may have been an exercise in nothing because my welder just died and I want that more than new shocks right now to finish off another car. The irony that the shock fund is now just a different shock fund did make me chuckle.

I recenlty installed Koni Special Actives on my '98 Carrera S. Went with ROW MO33 springs, ER sport bushings and M030 f/r ARB's. Absolutely love the results. On my prior 993 I had the same set upn except Bilsteins B8 shocks and M030 springs (ROW). I like the Koni set up better. Ride is more compliant and not as harsh. Slightly more body roll. Stance is also better. In a perfect world, the front would be a little lower. Perhaps the car will settle a little more. Car was corner balanced and alligned and really shines on the back roads and canyons. Some pics. I've also attached a pic of my old '95 on the Bilstein setup.

I know only the front is height adjustable, but is that as low as the front will go? The rear is non adjustable.

Interesting, as mine isn’t quite to the bottom on the front and looks lower than yours.

Gorgeous color combo on yours ... had the identical ‘97 C2S and was my favorite combo!

Walzome, it could be an optical illusion or the photo angle. but do you have a smaller wheel or tire on the front?

Thanks Pbug. Your car looks fantastic as well. I recommend the M030 front and rear ARB’s. You may need M030 front drop links. I also highly recommend RS engine mounts which really adds to the driving experience.

Bigwood, likely the photo as I’m running 18’s all around with factory spec f/r tire size

Considering the Koni's paired with Euro M033 springs. Does anyone have a suggested source for the springs stateside? And what would the expected price be?

It looks like Tirerack is running a sale on the Koni Special Actives, so best deal may be to buy dampers and springs from different sources.

TIA.

Default Shocks

Just purchased the exact setup from Paragon for $1250.
Very happy with the results

Koni's from Paragon and like others have said good price on the "package". I sourced my springs from Sunset during black friday special. Be sure you get "ROW".

I got my springs from pelican, sway bars at Sunset and the shocks at tire rack. It was interesting how everyone's price varies on the same product. All were easy to work with!

For those with the Koni SA & M033 set-up, did you use bump stops? If so, did you install both front and rear and were they the short version of bump stops? TIA.

It is a bad angle. I can go about 1/2: lower one the front on the adjustment of the shocks. I plan on doing that before I align it next time.

I have the same Set up but with 17" cup 2 wheels more than pleased! if you ask me, your wheels makes the car look a bit ruf!
