No, I haven't posted new pics yet because I still do not have the wheels. I have seen them and they're gorgeous but the offset was wrong (as Viken said it would be). HRE graciously took them back and is fixing the problem, but this has caused an obvious delay.

jdoc7 - I got the Porsche Factroy Aerokit 1 skirts for a narrowbody car.

Robert, what was the offset they sent and what will teh new offset be?
How wide are they? What was the problem with the old offset exactly?

Robert...I disagree with sptschoice.....I have seen a Guards Red with skirts on and it looked great !!!!! Are you painting them to color code or keeping black ??

Seriously, you must post pics.

I disagree as well (obviously). While Porsche's design team is not perfect, I do not think they would put out FACTORY side skirt options for the NB 993 with the intention of looking cheap, aftermarket, ugly, or whatever. My opinion is that they follow the lines of the body very well, and simply accentuate the already existing body lines in an ever so subtle fashion.

That being said, I almost think they are necessary if one has 18's on a NB 993 because they give you more wheel well line to fill in, giving the car a lower, meaner look. I "might" agree with sptschoice if we were talking about some cheap, crappy non-OEM side-skirt that was not Stuttgart's intention for the looks of the car, but a factory piece, that was more common over in Europe than here???? That's kind of like saying the 993 GT3 would have looked better WITHOUT Stuttgart's input on the side skirts they put on it. Just my .02!!!!!

As far as color, they are painted to match the Guards Red. I will post a pic soon of the skirts and the wheels even if they are back at HRE.

I do want to post pics, but since I do not have a website, posting pics to Rennlist is truly a PITA since my camera takes HUGE pictures and I don't know how to resize the damn things.

Look at the pictures Poon has posted of these factory OEM Porsche sideskirts on his car on page 4 of this thread. Those are the same skirts as mine in Guards Red.

Now tell me they don't look awesome and that they don't accentuate the car's existing body lines!! That my friends is good craftsmanship and design. Just in case you don't fancy them, however, that probably proves why Porsche has hundreds of options on their cars. To each his own.

Ha....you dawg......you've been holding out !!!

It looks great !!! Still don't know what kind of underpinnings you have in those wheel wells though..

I see you like the Long Body 7 series 'eh.....nice ride.

Coincidentally, I am looking at a XL Denali....same color as the C4S !!!!

I haven't been holding out, I just finally got pissed off enough to figure it out. ;-)

Anyway, the suspension is H&R springs with Bilstein HD's and Turbo sway bars. I absolutely love it. Car feels like it's on rails.

Just got the 740iL last week and sold my M5. Both are awesome cars, but I love having all the room and the automatic!! Two sticks in the garage just got to be a little much driving in to work every day, plus I like all the gadgets!!
