You said 'any more power than this loses the old school 911 vibe'. The 993 turbo was 400hp+ and that to many is the epitome of the aircooled 911.

So... this RWB could make another 100hp and still not have as much power as the car that is the pinnacle of the old school air cooled 911 world.

Problem with these RWB's is most of them are just bone stock C2's or C4's.

Need. More. Power.

oh, and what I was saying is that the nice thing about it is that it's NOT over powered... if I were seeking just pure power.. my droll wouldn't be on this car.. it would be on a GT2... especially the up coming 992 GT2.. 😂

Some damn funny comments. But, if this 993 does it for you, go for it. In the end it is what makes you happy.

They are certainly not for everyone, but I love mine! Rothsport built 3.8 liter with re-geared transmission. It is a great driver.

I just ultimately want to add an air-cooled 911 to my list of cars I want to keep.. I was tempted to get one instead of the 992.. but I honestly need a daily driver first..

This is what I'm doing, but backwards. Got the 993 first and now have a 992 on order to be my daily.

there's a good chance that some day you'll own both the last air cooled 911, and the last gas powered one... I wouldn't be surprised if the next 911 was only hybrid.. germans are off the wall with their environmental laws.

If you want a RestoMod Frankenorsche, better to just get a Singer.

If you want to spend $750,000 to $1,000,000 for a Singer...

I love my 993C2S but.....would take RWB or GT clone over a narrow body 964 or 993. It would need to have additional power to back up those overzealous looks.

RWB in many instances is "big hat but no cattle"!

Singer is a poor purchase at those prices. You can buy a CGT and still have 20 years of maintenance cost budget for $1 mil.

That is a cool RWB. Love the interior.

Yeah... lots of old Porsche purist here that can't stand the RWB, and it's kind hilarious to watch them lose their minds over it. If you get a nice 993, I would for sure go through the process of building one. My goal is to have mine built in a few years.

Joe's RWB is sick, and it's driven often.
