Digital speedometer update

I am finding the original digital speedometer in my 96 993TT difficult to read and extremely dated. If the sunroof is open, it is next to imposable to read. I am curious if anyone has replaced theirs with a more modern unit. Even better, one that can switch between metric and imperial for those who drive on both sides of the Canadian/US border. Sorry if there is already a thread on this topic, my searching skills on Rennlist need work.

I had the same issue in my 993. I installed an LED bulb and wow..... I could see the readout again. Here are two threads for your reading pleasure....
