Help needed for T-OBD ScanTool problem
Hi everyone, I purchased Tore's T-OBD ScanTool and have configured it to run on Windows 8.1 on a Mac using Bootcamp. For those familiar with ScanTool I had to manually download and install the drivers and apart from that all went smoothly following the instructions that came with it from Tore.
I have a '96 C2 manual sourced from the UK with a slot in the dash under the clock for an immobiliser dongle. I use this to 'de-immobilise' before connection of the T-OBD to the port on the car. The toggle switch on the T-OBD is set to Airbag - per the instructions.
When I fire up the ScanTool it takes some time to connect to the Motronic but eventually does and show no fault codes. When I select either the Climate Control or SRS Air Bag the little red box on the bottom left of the display flashes with the text Connecting - but it never does, it just keeps flashing. Has anyone experienced this before and can point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance

I usually make initial connection in the DME setting and then switch the slide switch to CCU or SRS before activating the menu tab in Scantool. Never had a problem once I got the initial connection to DME.
The sequence I used was to start windows/laptop, plug in ODB=T USB, get into the car, lock the doors with the fob, count to 10, unlock the doors then plug in the ODB connector, ignition to on, start scantool.
This is successful 90% of the time for me, sometimes I have to lather, rinse, repeat. Always get there in the end.

Pretty much what I do except I don't have a key fob to contend with. It can be hit or miss if I actually get a connection on the Motronic setting but I never get a connection on the CCU or Airbag settings. I have emailed Tore but figured there may have been someone here who has had this issue too.
Tried using a different USB port on the computer and it has made a difference, I can now connect at will to the Motronic and the Airbag modules. CCU module is still an issue - will not connect. I do have a problem with my aircon, I have a hole in the evaporator which is soon to be replaced but would not have thought that would be stopping the connection.
It has been a while since I have used mine, but I recall something being different for some of the ccu's.
Let me do some poking on my old laptop.
Ok, after some quick looking, I can't find the information.
Maybe it was a reference to the ABS module. Forgot the exact modules, but I recall it was due to the module version did not match the setting in the config file.
Regardless, Tore might recall the specifics. If he does nor (He is the wiz) I am mistaken.

Still trying, thought it may be a config thing, all you members on the other side of the pond would have yours set to Fahrenheit not Celsius. Changed config to C - still no go. Funny thing though, I turned the fan on the CCU and it came on in time with the flashing red box 'Connecting' the stopped as the flashing box went solid then started again when it started flashing again.
