Tom,
A year ago when I got my C4 ( admittedly a 60k+ car ) the low mileage C2s were going in the range $45K to $55K ( so add $2K-$4K for AWD ).
Since then the prices seem to have tumbled somewhat. Only the "S" models were going for the kind of money you are asking. Really it's up to you: either be ready to wait a while for the right motivated buyer to come along or go for the mid-$40Ks and be prepared to see you baby go much faster. (e-mail if you want more details on my purchase)

would be great if you could get that price. I did a lot of research and here in So Cal 993's still seem to fetch top of the curve. 53k sounds a little high, but the car sounds like a nice one. 51,900 in the LA times and a couple of sites and you should be able to move it.
I personally think 993 prices are going to rebound somewhat since so many people would prefer them to all of the 996's coming off lease and hitting the market.

The new c4s is amazing!! I never thought I would enjoy the car this much. Having never really "driven" a 993 before I was expecting it to be a much stiffer and unforgiving ride over 2400 miles.
I am going to post my feedback on the drive with a comparison to my Club Sport when I get a chance.
All I can say is after 2 days of commuting in LA the 4S has me smiling all the way to and from work!
