Default Why I just became a REAL member?

Hey friends!

I just signed up for a rennlist membership!

Now, the reason why I paid and became a member is I want that red "rennlist member" text on top of my name with every post I do and I just PM'ed Viken to put it there for me

I didn't sign up earlier because I felt a little like an outsider over here in Sweden. Everyone is talking about Malibu runs and LA fun runs and there's no way I could participate in events like those with my car. That and the fact that I'm already a member of Porsche Club Sweden made me wait.

But, however... Now I've come to the conclution, rennlist is the greatest help one can get in a webforum and the community is great!

Now, all you need to do is help me solve my car stopping all the time issues :/

Thomas,

Have you looked into the possible loose solenoid wire? I had a strange incident similar to yours. I had accidentally stalled my car driving slowly into my garage and my car wouldn't restart after the stall. I have a new DME relay and my old one which still works, tried both and it still didn't start. I had plenty of fuel, checked the fuse for the fuel pump. All checked out, i finally had to push it down the hill to jump start it. After driving it for a few minutes it was fine. Do a search on solenoid, you might find some useful info. I haven't checked mine to see if it loose yet. Good luck and welcome to becoming an official Rennlist member.

Thomas,

Welcome... and congrats on membership. You'll be better for it.

I've followed your problem, thought you got great advice, however electrical gremlins (if that's what it is) are painful to chase down. You've done a great job documenting your trials... someday someone else will benefit if your problem happens to them. I know if my car starts cutting out mysteriously that you'll have an immediate e-mail from me!!

Good luck.

I should get paid by Porsche to solve this problem don't you think?
Now it's just me paying loads of money for parts that don't even solve the problem and it's pissing me off..

A formal welcome to you Thomas !!!

I had a similiar problem as your with an old VW GTI....it boiled down to replacing all the spark plug WIRES......not the plugs themselves.

Evidently, the wires were HAWKING.....they were split/cracked somewhere in the line and the current was carrying thru to the distributor cap and out of no where....dead....then mysteriously....it would start and it would be fine.

I changed all the spark plug wires....and abracadabra !!! Never had the problem again !!

GOOD LUCK MAN !!

Amen brother. I don't know if you've been following my problem, which is different than your car's, but equally as frustrating. These are not inexpensive cars to have "issues"
with!! It can feel pretty lonely footing the bill for diagnostic work.
Like you, I have found the help and camaraderie here to be invaluable. Welcome to
the club!

Thomas,
Glad to see that you have joined. I was worried about you there for a while. Thought you might give up on your car. Hang in there. I hope that last fix does it for you. Welcome!!!

Welcome Miraculix, and good luck with your car.

BTW, I tried to go to your website and download a sample of your music but my Windows Media Player would not play it. Do I need a certain player to open the files on your website??

Thanks,
Robert

Thanks everyone..

Robert: You need real player to listen to the samples on miraculix.nu but I'm trying to get someone to sort out a mp3 stream, directly from the site and this will be done in a matter of weeks along with a teaser of the new album so please hold your horses for a couple of weeks

fbfisher: Thanks man, I love when people sign the guestbook

tsjoel: Well, I don't know how much of this I can take.. As I said in another thread, please pray to the P-car gods, the car doesn't stop after I've taken it home to my part of the country because I'm not sure what I'll be capable of doing if that happends again :/

24FPS: I could also have sworn I was a memeber before but there was just this one little thing missing, the red text above my avatar =)))) And yes, my previous avatar mysterious dissapered somehow, hahaha!

Here's the thing again, it'll keep you guys busy for the next hour or so..

And, I AM in the states quite a lot actually.. Usually play around San Francisco 2 times a year and this summer I'm scheduled for LA and Texas aswell so you'd better bring me to a Funrun while I'm there man

Good to see the "juggy" avitar again... I missed her. Between you and nota-troll I had my Fantasy football buddies in stitches everytime I changed my team logo.
