Default Rotors

Quick question on rotors.......I have a 95 993 and I’m not sure if the rotors came with the car or not, but I have a 1/8 inch or less lip on all four rotors. Is that normal? Do I need new rotors? I will eventually take the tires off and measure, but just on feel there is definitely a lip. Any advice will help, thanks

I would say a lip is normal on well-used rotors. To my understanding, thickness of the rotor is the deciding factor and should be measured against spec. (As you note you plan to do.)

If you have the OE drilled rotors, check to see if there are cracks visibile. If the cracks span completely between the holes, this is an indicator the rotor likely needs replacing.
