Need a Left Tail Light
Evidently the body shop that recently replaced my rear bumper didn't properly secure the left tail light. It popped out while driving and part of the lens melted while dangling by the wires and resting against the exhaust. I priced it at Sunset and it about $200 shipped. They can be found on eBay for $100+. I would prefer to buy one from someone here. If anyone has one gathering dust please let me know. TIA

I’ve got one. It’s essentially brand new - maybe a year old or less.
Please send me a PM with your email and I’ll send over some pictures.

I did a search last night and there are several past posting of this happening. It's a lot cheaper to replace the screw and speed nut than a tail light!

The speed nut is easy to get out of place when you R & R the tailight, so the screw misses it, and although it feels snug, it won't hold. I caught mine just about to fall out. The speed nut may be okay, or it may need a little pinch with pliers to make it grip the mounting point tighter.
Good lesson here: Make sure the screw is actually engaging the speed nut on installation, check those taillight screws periodically, press in on the taillight to feel that it is tight when you do your pre-flight walk-around.

Normally I would agree. But I have been using this body shop for the last 20+ years. The owner has gone above and beyond what he was required to do on several occasions. I'll cover the $100 tab on this one.
