Max,
when you press "print screen" where does the screen shot get saved so I can retrieve it when I open up the graphic image program?

Probably saved to the clipboard (memory) and probably Ctrl-V will place it into whatever program you open up for graphic manipulation (or Paste from Edit menu of that program).

When you put the new ones in, you line it up on the nub and press it on by hand without messing with the clips.

You can actually put your hand in there??
I looked at it today (front shocks that is).... and I have small hands... and I don't think there's any way to do it. What am I missing?

If you get the fitting lined up and apply enough pressure on the rod, it will snap on.
I vaguely remember reaching in as far as I could to avoid bending anything. I do remember that putting them on was much easier than removing it. One side was easier than the other.

Well, I wear an XL golf glove, but I was able to do it. No, there's not much space, and the driver's side is easier than the passenger side (due to a hose/vacuum line that you can move out of the way), but yes, you can get enough pressure with just the tips of your index/middle fingers to snap them in place. Doesn't take much force.

The fronts on my '86 and '85 were a piece of cake compared to the 993.

Kelly,
I just did the front hood shocks on mine. Was very easy. The new shocks have a different clip style than my originals. The originals had a small wire-type around ball, the new ones have a flat-type clip. You don't need to remove anything to change them. Just pull out the old ones and install the new! One of my friends held up the hood while I did it though, that made it much easier!

Yes, Darin. Do tell. Anything to make changing out these things would be appreciated. Make and model #?
As a side note, after changing out the rear struts, when I pop the the hood release, the hood will flip up to the open position on it's own. Seems kind of dangerous for it to do that. Is this normal? Maybe as the struts age it will get weaker to just assist opening instead of being an automatic door opener?
