Default New floor mats

All,

Really impressed with Lloyds new design floor mats. Hope they hold up like the previous 2 sets did. Certainly helped to freshen up 25 years old 126,000 miles interior.

Look into Lloyds clear plastic mats that go on top of your mats pictured. They're great to catch dirt and protect the mats pictured.

Coco mats are great for a retro look. Unlike the coco mats of yesteryear, these have a rubber backing to keep crap from falling through. The only maintenance is taking them out and shaking.

I like the clear plastic placed on top of any mat because it keeps mats clean. When you get into your car from a gas station, repair shop etc., the grease, dirt and mud are on your clear plastics.
You remove your clear plastics, clean and return them over your mats.
You can also remove them temporarily when you know that you're driving to a specific safe spot.
The Lloyd clear plastic mats are designed to fit over the threaded rod on the drivers side to keep the drivers side mat in place.

Idk about the clear plastic over the plush carpet matts. I like the feel of the carpet. It’s not like they can’t be replaced when they wear out.

Do the Lloyds mats have the straps on the drivers side like the stock mats?

^^^ I don’t think so, at least mine don’t. They have the holes for the threaded studs and plastic caps for securing them in position.

I understand. I use my clear to protect the mats from dirt.

The Lloyd Mats utilize the factory stud with a threaded button to prevent the drivers mat from moving.
The original mats were the same. Porsche dealers installed the mats with the strap on the driver's side.

Thanks, I wasn't aware the straps weren't from the factory.

The Lloyd clear vinyl "protector" mats come in either two (2) piece or four (4) piece for the rear. Please note the threaded fastener that threads onto the factory stud on the driver's side only.
In 1970, Oldsmobile had a marketing expression for their 442 models to explain the 442's performance "this is not your father's Oldsmobile. "

Lloyd vinyl "protector " mat driver's side. Please note the threaded fasteners that attach to the factory threaded stud, driver's side only. The photographs of the sofa covers are clear smooth plastic. Lloyd's manufactures their mats with tiny grips to prevent your feet from slipping. Lloyd mats are not your grandmother's plastic slip covers!
