Many thanks for all the suggestions and expertise. I’m going to go with the shell Porsche transaxle fluid. To confirm the diff and tranny share the fluid? When you drain the tranny the diff is drained as well? And 4 liters of fluid should cover me.

Additionally plan on bleeding the clutch any tips for that?

Apologize for all the questions I’m going to be using a friends shop and lift and want to make sure I have everything buttoned down so I don’t have to make it two trips.

#1 and I would order it here to save some cash. Best deal I found and free shipping.

Just bled my clutch slave this weekend. Use the Pcar DIY for all of this and you'll be good.
I would bleed the brakes while your doing the clutch slave.

The original fill was Shell Transaxle renamed to Shell Spirax S5 ATE 75W-90.

Based on my research, this is the fluid that the dealer sells in quarts for like $40 ea. and is used in manual gearboxes and differentials from 993 (and probably prior) to modern cars.

I've already used it in a 993 C2S that was recently acquired with 113K miles.

I also plan to use it in my 981 CGTS manual trans, my 993TT trans and front diff, as well as my F355 trans (also the original fluid in Ferrari).

I bought a 5 gallon pail from a distributor.

Good choice on the fluid.

As for the clutch bleed, you may go ahead and do a full brake flush since you'll likely need to open up a fresh can of brake fluid to replace the fluid used in the slave bleed. Have a 7mm wrench to fit the small clutch slave bleeder.

New washers for transaxle plugs.
