Default Strange sound after repair

Hi all,

i just got a 993 Cs modded into 3.8 varioram engine and did a major fixing, Malibu replace the lwf rs clutch with a dmf normal clutch for urban driving. But after a few days in a quiet night I hear some strange noise very similar to this

can anyone have insight on what is the possibility? And if there’s anything major?
one side note is in one occasion I was forced to reverse in a very steep slope so after that 3-5 seconds of riding the clutch with 2500-3000 rpm I smell some bad clutch burning smell without smoke. I know I did slightly reduced the clutch life but can the sound be related?

thanks for all help

Why don’t you take the car back to whomever modded your Cs 3.8 Varioram Engine? Hard for us to diagnose over the Internet.

Coz the mod was done by the previous owner who’ve migrated somewhere else already, so I have no idea where he did that, so before I can reach him I want to see if any of the Porsche elite here have any idea what that strange ticking sound is

Can you post a video from the engine bay while it’s running?

Very hard to diagnose from sound captured in the cabin.
I hear two sounds:
One is a rattle that could be a loose heat shield or engine tin. Alternatively one or two of the hydraulic lifter cartridges has failed.
The other sounds like some sort of toothed item rubbing, maybe the power steering belt is not properly seated or a bearing in the alternator is beginning to fail. On youtube, there are posted many videos on what a failed alternator sounds like for comparison.

Take a one or two-foot section of garden hose and use it like a stethoscope to localize the source of the sounds.

Sound is most likely unrelated to clutch smell. On our cars, any abuse of the clutch immediately sucks the clutch odor into the cabin. Doesn't take much to do this.

Thanks all and I think I’ve sorted out that,

it was this pipe gets bumped out of the pipe management hook, after I put it back in place the mysterious ticking sound which sounded like some engine oil drain disappeared! And some minor sound is from the fan scratching the fan housing which is basic inaudible inside the cabin

Check your belt tension....you don't want the fan scraping or contacting the housing at all.
