Hi All,
Even though I just had the power seat shaft replaced recently, I noticed that my seat now tilts back and forth when I accelerate or brake.
My mechanic told me that I need to replace another part, but I am not sure.
Has anyone else encountered this problem before?
Thanks,

John,
The forward and backward movement of the seat is driven by one motor but two seaprate gear box on each side of the rail.
Each gear box can be turned independently of each other which could cause the seat to twist from the rail.
I imagine your mechanic had accidentally turned the flexible shaft before it was attached to the drive motor which move one side of the gear drive and caused the seat to settle in a twisted position from the start.
If that's the case the solution would be to remove the flexible drive shafts from the motor drive end, and make sure the seat itself is aligned perfectly to the rail by turning the flexible drive shaft and then install the drive shaft connection back into the motor drive.
