ecarlink in Texas..anyone familiar???
Is anyone familiar with ecarlink in Dallas, TX? They have several cars that I might pursure unless someone knows something that I should know about them.
Any input would help as I'm in South Florida and can't drive to see them in person.
thanks

They are your typical sleezy high-end used car dealer. They totally misrepresented an MB 600SL to me last year. Wasted my time flying out there from Atlanta. The owner "Sam" who's real name is probably Abdul said the car was " a number 10, no paint work and no accident history". Upon my arrival it was apparent that the car was a total repaint (and a poor job at that) and generally looked and drove like a piece of sh*t. Stay away!!!

I purchased my 95 993 in Dec of 02 from them. The only issue I had with them was it was represented as a one owner car when in fact I found four previous owners. It did not bother me because they were all older professionals and the car was absolutely immaculate. Hope this helps your decision. Good luck to you.

Helped a friend a couple months ago find a 996tt. They had a car he was interested in. A couple guys from the list went and gave us a hand in looking over the car. It wasn't as presented, but was still a good car. Was a smokers car and that would not do,...Guy also found out about another car we were considering, he called that Dealer and gave him a phoney price that he said he was sticking too, so is short he tried to screw us. Didn't work and my buddie bought from the second dealer.

Just like any used car dealer, you have to be careful. These guys are about 4 miles from my house and I have been by there many times checking their inventory. They have lots of high-end inventory and (mostly) pretty good prices. They have some really nice stuff and they have some real lulu's as well. As always, it's caveat emptor.
vee12: The president is Len Critcher and he's not too bad a person to deal with. His partner can be a bit of a problem, but I think it tends to be more from a lack of maturity than anything else.
nota_troll: Having moved from Houston, these guys are far superior to Summit Motors or most of the others you encounter up and down the Southwest Freeway between the West Loop and West Park.
Are they top notch? Probably not. Do the conventional rules hold about looking cars over closely before buying (or even investing in a trip to check a car)? Absolutely.
