Default Fog Light Source

Hi all -

Sorry, lurker here! Was looking for some help with fog lights... For some reason the side marker lights (on the corner) are quite affordable at $2-300/pair at Suncoast complete. But the fog lights, seemingly a similar item, are $290 each side. I see that there are repro duct/light kits for less, but was hoping to have full lights (I know, I know, but I like the look).

Any aftermarket or other sources for fog lights for less money? Did a search but not seeing anything come to hand.

Thank you!

Matt

Hey Matt,
You might want to take a look at the URO replacement parts...

Amazon Amazon

Awesome thank you! Still so interesting that these are $200+ each while the corners are $200/pair.

Maybe look for the Audi equivalent.

I’d guess it is because the side lights do not have the projector housing in them like the front lights.

Big difference between the side marker lights and the fog assembly. And the aftermarket suppliers for the side markers are numerous. Fogs are Porsche only. Supply and demand pure and simple.

Another cheaper option is change them to the Turbo S Scoops

If you can find a complete used pair, they're easy to freshen up - lots of threads here about opening them up and painting inside, and the glass is available on the Auction Site for about $200 the pair. Here's how my relatively nasty looking ones turned out with paint and new glass (and ToreB's LED marker lights):

Really? The fog lights are much more complex than the side marker lights and have a glass lens. Can you say, Poorsha? I knew ya could!

Look at post # 2.
I believe URO is the OEM and sells them aftermarket for approx 33% less.

OP, seems like the DIY refresh mentioned in post # 9 is more in line with the cost factor you were thinking...

Agreed. @tougu I have a set of new lenses that I didn’t end up using. Shoot me a PM if interested - gladly take care of you on pricing
