Factory exhaust: Can anyone tell me where this heat shield goes? I am stumped and the Parts Katalog doesn't show this actual part to my knowledge.

Doesnt it go over the flux capicitor?

...After searching, "various heat shields for Porsche 993", I came up with this.

https://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod1...che-993-C2-C4/

Pipe-Heat-Shield-Porsche-993-C2-C4/

Zoom In (2)AIR DISTRIBUTION PIPE HEAT SHIELD. PORSCHE 993 C2/C4

Code: 99321121304Air Distribution Pipe Heat Shield.
Genuine Porsche product

Fits:
Porsche 993 C2 / C4 1994-98 (NOT Turbo)

It attaches to the inside of the catalytic convertor, nearest the passenger side chain housing cover.

I knew I could count on you, Andreas. Thank you.
The down side is now I have to take the exhaust completely apart again to put it back on.

--Maybe not. I can get it into place and have line of sight for connection points...we will see.
thanks again.

LOL, no, it was in the box of parts I took off when I swapped the cat for X-Pipe a few years ago. All in place and buttoned up now.
