Thanks Michael for your answer.

I have never driven a AWD 993 and the last time I drove a RWD 993 was like 10 years ago.

I was considering adding the extra money to get a C4S from a 272bhp C2, maybe that’s worth for me investing into a AWD car.

I wish i could find a way to rent a RWD and a AWD 993 back to back to determine which one would suit better my taste and driving skills.

I was driving early morning on Saturday in the dark. I was thinking about the 993. It has no stereo. A stripped out interior so it is kind of loud.

I was humming down the road, steering wheel twitching in my hands. I felt like I was flying an old plane.

Maybe I should just buy an old 60s 911. Uh, cannot afford one, but I wish I could. If I would have bought one in 2012 they were still in the realm of possibility.

Love it! If I had winter tires, I'd be right there with you.

I was pulling out of my garage yesterday and started to think about Spring.

I need to get rid of some of the clutter in there. I am always bumping into things when I work on the car.

Thinking I might want to put the spare wheels in the basement and get rid of the shelving. Also relocate some of the larger tools onto the wall. Then I'll be able to get around under the car more easily.

Daydreaming about Spring...

Once I had mine for a while I felt the same which I thought strange because usually I want newer. But I imagined (might be wrong) that all of the best bits of the 993's character, feel and weighting of controls would even better in an older 911. I prefer to be driving at 40mph feeling like it is 70 and having the lower limits promote fun.
But by that time the rising prices meant the longhood 911 boat had sailed for me.
Enjoy the winter and keep the photos coming.

Old Yellow

I am pretty sick of staring at this yellow light.

I have done the SAI flush etc three times since I bought it 7 years ago. I am not doing it again.

The plan is to drive out to Steve Weiner at Rennsport Systems in the Fall and have him do a rebuild and regear.

I am pretty excited about. In addition to clogged ports, I have a bad #4 exhaust valve. I have a Subaru Boxer uneven headers kind of rumble right now. It has been this way for years. It is especially pronounced when cold.

Hopefully I won't get an emissions test notice in the meantime because my flags barely reset then I get Old Yellow on my dashboard again!!

Life is good. Driving this car evrryday is amazing. It is a solid workhorse.

Driving these and the snow is the best! Well, not the best for working on them later in the spring, but definitely with some snow tires, they are a blast!

Mike- be careful with those racks, they are notorious for bending and denting the rain gutters.. I tried a couple different racks on my 964 and ultimately, I decided I wouldn't use any style of rack that secures on the rain gutters...

My gutters are looking good so far. I have had racks on the car for almost all seven years of ownership. But I will keep an eye on it.
