Is yours a C4? I had my 90 c2 in the snow once with worn 255/40’s on the rear- it barely moved! Well it barely moved forward- went side to side just fine!
Salt- hate it but i must say if I could i’d Love a C4 for a daily winter car! My vintage land cruiser is a daily driver and the salt eats it up. Nice that the Porsche is galvanized and seam sealed!

Mine is just rear wheel driven. It used to be a C4S, but I converted it to a C2S. Haha.
Good on you for driving that car. With the right tires even the RWD is good up to the point where you're trying to plow snow. Then they slow down some.

Having the right winter tires is critical. Worn "summer" tires are an accident waiting to happen.
My C2S will go almost anywhere as long as the snow is not so deep that the underside of the car rides up on it. I have dedicated snow tires and wheels for winter. Yes, the front is a bit light but that just reinforces the need to drive sensibly.
Back in the 70's when I first started driving the car of choice in the snow was a beetle. I had one and the traction was very good but you kinda had to watch it in the corners with the light front end. This was before most main stream cars had front wheel drive and most truck were not 4X4.

Good question. I liked this one more. My previous version was a $50 ebay special and it was craptastic.
This Yakima OffGrid basket is well made and reasonably light. The cross bars are adjustable and removeable which is great.
