Post torque spec for valve stem???

Does anybody know what the torque spec for the valve stem is?

It's an 18" hollow technology, if that helps.

so what is the torque setting for the valve stems?. I am having new tires put on tomorrow, and I believe lug nuts shoud be 94 foot pound of torque?. FWIW I went with pilots for no real reason, other than I think there were a deal. 300.00 per rear, and 200.00 per front?

Please tell what the torque specs are for the valve stem cover....this is just the sort of minutiae that Porschephiles are supposed to know. And this is one of many details I don't know ...hopefully they won't take my car away because of it!!!

Just remember, righty, righty, tighty, tighty. You must be kidding about the valve stem covers torque specs, correct?

I assume Jeff 993TT is referring to the metal valve stems for the hollow spokes NOT the valve stem covers.

Yup, Dan is right, it is for the valve stem itself, not the cover.

I scanned in the page from the repair manual here

According to that page, the correct torque is 3.5 +- 0.5 Nm ( 2.2 +- 0.4 ftlb ). Unfortunately, I didn't have a torque wrench that went so low, so I just wing'ed it.

I had asked becuase my new wheels are here and I had to install a new valve stem. Hopefully, I'll be back on the road this weekend! ( After 4 weeks of having my car on jack stands.!!! ARGH!! )
