Default Rust Repair on 993

I am considering purchasing a ‘95 993 C2 that has been documented to have had some rust around the rear window. It was repaired and no additonal rust has emerged in that area of the car.

I would appreciate thoughts about whether this situation would give anyone pause about the purchase and what to know generally about rust on these cars, success rate of repairs, and future concerns. There have been some additional mechanical repairs and I understand the car is in good condition, mechanically-speaking.

thanks

this is a common area for rust on 993s. Do you have any pics of the repair? It is not a big deal and would not worry about it. This is also common around the bottom corners of windshield. Maybe put a paint meter on to know they fixed it with metal as opposed to bondo.

As said above, usually not a big deal. The good news is that someone dealt with it vs. just ignore it.
