These Vossen wheels also might be of interest: https://vossenwheels.com/wheel/lc-103/

Personal opinion... but they make the 993 look like a cartoon.

Those Vossen's do look correct. But 19" is too much. I want something smaller diameter, because I really really prefer a nice thick tire sidewall.
I think i am definitely now in the market for some late 80's 944 or 968 phone dials.

Thanks for all the help and replies!

If any of them work, the only ones that would are the 16x7 and 16x8 from '87-'89. They were standard on the Turbos for those first two years, and optional on the base and S models. Wheels from any earlier year won't fit; they have the wrong offset (+23mm).

I don't think anyone has actually test mounted them, so there is the potential of a brake caliper interference. You'll also have a slightly wider track in the rear, as the 16x8 PDs have a lower offset than the 993's original 16x9 Cups.

You should also be aware that OEM size tires are very hard to come by. If you are based in the US, the only tires with a pair in 205/55 and 245/45 are the Pirelli P-Zero and Michelin SX MXX3, both of which are priced about twice what they should be. If you are in Europe you can still get Continentals. Otherwise, you have to switch to a 205/55 and 225/50, which is a pretty narrow tire in the rear. Not sure how much that would affect handling.
