Jeff,

On Rennlist since June of 2001, with over 2800 posts, and you're just getting your car set up for the track? Either you have the willpower of a blind monk on saltpeter trapped in a twice-failed Jenny Craig class or you're taking some sort of pill.

Congrats on your new track tools.

Jeff,

Looks like we are both on the same path, just in a different order:

I already have the DAS bar ready for install, the schroth harnesses are in the garage along with the Pagid Oranges.

I'm about to order the Pole Positions, adapters, and sliders this week and the driving suite in a couple months when Club Racing is a little closer. Where did you order them & if you don't mind sharing, what pricing - if you don't want to publish, please send me a PM.

Congrats and enjoy all the installation projects you have ahead of yourself.

Merry Christmas Jeff! I can't wait to go for a ride in your car at Thunderhill to do a before and after comparison.

Jeff,

Since you got those nice recaros, you might not need your sports seats anymore right?

Jeff,

Would love to check out your seat after they're on. The Pole Positions are supposed to be repalcements for the A-8s in my RUF. Definitely want to see them in your car.

Thanks.

BTW, are the Bay Area slopes particularly slippery, or it's pretty uniform across the globe? I'm feeling huge gravitational forces here.

It is very slippery here, Pong - particularly on the Peninsula - the closer to Bob, the steeper the slope.

Hey Guys.. Thanks for the support, but you are supposed to keep me rational. hehe...

Mark,
I've waited a long time to do all my track events, as you can see. I've tried to moderate myself, but now I feel that I've waited long enough. It's just a little test of myself and my will power. If want to do something, I'll consiciously resist and if I keep coming in back to it, then I know that I really wanted it. I have 1-2 track days scheduled for each month.

swftiii,
I sent you a PM. Street prices for the pole positions are about $599. I found 3 shops in the bay area that are selling them for that price. Be sure to get the sliders and adapters at the same time. I test fit them at bob's house and they are really comfy. I might just have to get some for my daily driver as well.

As for driving suits, check out www.ogracing.com They have a lot of discontinued suits from sparco, ranging from $650+. I got the Prima 2. It's a 2 layer nomex suit with the shoulder gussets and stretch bottom area. Other options are getting custom suit ( $400+ ). Search the "racing" forum for more info on this. I've heard that 3 layer suits are pretty hot, so that another consideration.

Nelson,
I think I'm going to keep my sport seats, at least for now. I really like them for non track driving and will probably swap seats back and forth. Well, maybe just the passenger seat. hehe..

Pong,
You are welcome to check out the seats anytime after I get them installed. And that goes for anybody in the area too. In fact, I'll have them installed after the 1/31 drive. So you can check them out at lunchtime.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I have the cargraphics oil cooler on order too!

Hehe very nice Jeff. I remember when my room looked like that picture a year before I actually got my car............................

My car is getting ~12k worth of after Christmas presents right now.
That slippery slope makes a poorb0y into a very broke boy . Even when I get most stuff at cost .
