I did that too, and found marginal improvement, since (as I should have noticed), the problem was with the pitting of the glass lens due to road debris. Can't really do anything about that, tho, except buy new lenses...

Thanks for posting this...

I've been meaning to do this for 2 months and it somehow fell off my radar screen. Upon reading this, I said "just do it," popped the eyes out of my p-car in an ice cold garage and cleaned them up at the (warm) kitchen counter.

One thing is for sure - after one is complete and you compare it to the other you will be simply amazed at the difference! It took me 35 minutes 'cause I had to stop and stare.

Now they're back in the car and the front end just sparkles!

Thanks again.

Did any of you find the reflective material really thin? I did a light wiping of the inside of the reflector and on one outside edge you could see that the material was almost through...I did not want to wipe it anymore and risk ruining the reflector. I used very light pressure with a microfibre towel. I also changed the lenses while I was in there which made a hugh difference since the original ones where quite pitted.

Mike J - nope, the reflective material looked tip-top to me. Tell me, have you posted any photos of your car here? If I decide to put on a fixed tail, that RS tail on your car is the only one I'd choose - so it would be nice to see a good photo of the whole car. PM me if needed. Thanks.
