Lightbulb Tire Pump Location!

Is there something I’m missing or is it impossible to locate the tire pump with the spare tire? I hate to see it thrashing around the compartment.

This is how my car was delivered new, and this is how I delivered it to its new owner:

You probably had the fancy one which came in a plastic moulded briefcase. Too cumbersome and heavy.

I have the same pump as you John if it is the one that is inside the black plastic case.
It will fit inside the spare, but you must press firmly down and force it inside. Don't worry, it won't break.

I also have the big one and with the wound up tool kit it stuffs into the spare tire tightly which is nice and keeps it from sliding around.

Viken - how is the new car? Do you miss the C4S at all?

Thanks!

As soon as I get the car back I'll give it a more robust try!

The new car is very exciting to drive. Much more involving than the C4S. Yes, I do miss the C4S from time to time.

Thanks. If I can find the software again I'll make it larger.

Question ot...

care to explain the "more involving" part?

i love the gt3... just can't get used to it not having an ***, amongst a few other "styling" quarks.

now... back on topic... where can you pick up the "smaller" pump... does the dealer stock it?

Is there any place else that pump could be found? I have not looked very hard for the jack or pump but the only thing in my spare tire was the tool kit. Is it safe to say they are MIA?

hey tsjoel -

unfortunately, the pumps & tool kits/jacks tend to be things that disappear as a used p-car changes hands esp. the ones from dealers... they fetch a pretty good price & say "porsche" on them. ---> the jack should be located w/ the tool kit & the pump should be too.

cheers.

The air compressor in the plastic box was put in the cars at the U.S. port before delivery to the dealers. I remember that they would move the jack out of the spare tire well and place it in front of the tire. The European cars came with a much smaller compressor
