Default Central Warning Light (!)

I have had the central warning light on my car lit since an engine rebuild & reprogram. The switch in the console does nothing to make the big red exclamation point on the gauge go away. Any thoughts or suggestions or ideas on what is causing the issue or how to diagnose? thanks.

Check the electrical connections inside the back of your handbrake handle. A copper clip can come loose causing the red light to stay on - an easy fix if that is what it is.

I would guess one other warning light is either blown or removed. I would start checking with the airbag warning lamp in the clock.
Cheers,
