Default 3.6 Turbo wheels on 993 - pics anyone?

I really like the look of 18 inch 3.6 turbo three-piece wheels (from the 90's era cars - the three pience silver (polished?) ones with the bolts all the way around - I think RH makes an aftermarket one that looks just like factory wheel) and am considering them for my 1998 993 cab (artic silver). Does anyone have this setup that can post a picture of the 3.6 turbo wheels on the car (on any 993, does not have to be a cab or silver).

I have 18 inch turbo twists (non hollow spoke) on the car now with brand new SO3's, and I also have the original factory 17 inch wheels with tires mounted (about 50 tread left on those tires). What I am hoping to be able to do is unload/exchange both the original factory 17 inch wheels with tires (bridgestones? - I will have to check the make of these tires) AND the 18 inch turbo twist wheels only (no tires) for a set of the 18 inch 3.6 turbo wheels. I woudl be dooing this for the look - I just like the racy look of the studs/bolts on the wheel, my guess is there is no performacne gain or loss with such a swap.

Does this seems like a fair swap that a wheel house/shop would be willing to make (i.e., two sets of wheels, one factory with tires, for the 3.6 set of wheels) or is one party (me or them) getting a bad deal. I would then take the new SO3's (curretly on the turbo twist rims) and put them on the 3.6 turbo rims. I am not sure if the turbo twists are factory or aftermarket (I jsut got the car a month ago)

Thoughts, recommendations? Thanks.

It looks very nice but in my opinion, I'd rather put 993 RS wheels

Barry, I have the RH 3.6 wheels on my 95 and get alot of compliments. I am sure they are not the lightest available but I like the look. I will email a picture to you.

Interestingly, I see that there is a wheel quite close to the 3.6 turbo wheel I like - the different is that the spoke have a concave portion whereas the wheels I hope to get have spoke whose surface is smooth and does not "dip in". The two wheel types are seen in the link that Guyom provides above - in the middle column of cars on that page, second car down, is the kind that have concave spokes, and the fourth car down (and the one in Guyom's picture) has the wheels I like with the flat spokes (non concave). Are these both considered 3.6 turbo wheels, or are the concave ones a variant with a different name?

The second car down looks as though it's fitted with Speedline 3 piece RS wheels, whilst the lower ones look like RH's.

Ed - Could you send me a pic of your car with the RH's fitted as well please?

Cheers

Chris

The smooth spoke wheel is the 3.6 version which I have. The concave if I am understanding you correctly are the supercup wheels.

Chris, you can also send me an email so I can reply with some pics. I can't post pics here because the files are to large. Any way to make them smaller??

Patentman...as I am computer challenged I can only direct you to a post by Miraculix on page 6 (selected at bottom of page) entitled "which front spoiler would you have chosen for your car". My car is the bottom picture with the 3 pc. DP motorsport wheels which are modeled after the 3.6 look wheel. I too like the look and get a lot of comments on them.

I'm with you guys. I also kind of like the wheels I've seen on some of the 997/987 spy shots...

Hey guys maybe you can help. I can view yellow cars on this post but not the pics that WelshChris posted. I have had this problem before-pics posted but can only view some of them. Thanks or any help.
