Question Immobilizer problem 993 FOB

Hello, I have a porsche 993 1997 varioram convertible c2 USA version, I lost the last remote control from immo. Can I mount the immo box from another 993? Is there a simple way to remove?

If you lost the fob you can program you existing immobilizer controller to accept up to 4 new fobs.

I live in Poland and I do not have this code for immo. I was at a local Porsche dealer and stated that they do not have data for cars from the US market.

Contact Porsche USA by email or phone or Porsche in Germany directly.

I also needed the PIN for a US imported car in here Finland. Here local Porsche did not either give me the PIN. Checked also with Porsche in Sweden and the had the same reply. The could agree to code me new fobs if I bring the car to them and buy a new fob, but I would be just happy to code it my self as I have done it on the other cars for which I have the PIN.

If you find contacts some Porsche center who is willing give the PIN, please let us know.

Some say the last 4 digits on the controller's serial number is the code, the code belongs to the car owner, look in your owner's manual or call Porsche directly as the code belongs to you, the owner of the car, when it is provided with the keys when the car was originally purchased.

Checked both inside and outside of the controller and could not see any serial number.

I also checked. Maybe somebody from the forum mates living in the USA would arrange for us these codes?

Unless the actual owner of the vehicle, I doubt PCNA would release the information. Your best option is to contact Porsche Customer Relations in Stuttgart, explain the situation, send them your proof of ownership and have them contact PCNA in Atlanta to get the code.
