Of course Glen could drive on three year old re-treads and be in the front of the field.

David,
I have been using the Pirelli P Zero Corsa for DE weekends. I would NOT recommend them for rain tire use. I have had them in the rain on the track and on the highway, and on a scale of 10 I would rate their wet performance at about a 2. The only other "competition" tire I have personal experience with in the rain is the Kumho ECSTA V700, and it was far better than the Pirelli. Have you considered the Toyo Proxes RA-1?

Kristoffer,

I think you will like the 245/275 combo. It works well and you should not have any rubbing issues depending upon your wheel offsets.

Good luck and have fun!

Great info here!

Greg,

"Symptoms" you describe (understeer on slow- oversteer on fast corners) is exactly what I have experience with MPSC's (if you remember my Sebring clip, you can see that).

My tyres are getting quite badly worn, seems that I ought to try Hoosiers and see how they behave. I do drive with my track tyres to the track so that has been my main concern but maybe that's not too bad.

Kristoffer,

Let us know how it do you like them!

I have a pair of MPSCs 315/18 with 200 street miles on them if anyone is interested. I just ordered my new SX3-R Forgelines today. they are supposed to be three pounds lighter than their standard three piece wheel. 18x9 fronts, and 18x12 rears. I am going to Yokohama slicks, so I don't need the MPSCs....

Kim, I think the trick is to put the 315's up front and the 225's in the rear.

FF:

Sorry I can't share any info with you untill I can pass you on the track And the one time I did doesn't count because you were having trouble!!

Just when I thought I have it all together, someone has to throw a wrench in it!!!

I spoke with Tire Rack about my new Hossiers I ordered & guess what!! They only have 1 245!! No big deal because they are in the same town as Hossier right. Wrong!!! Hoosier is not making any more of the 03's & they haven't started production of the 04's yet!! The good news is that Hoosier has implied that they may be starting production on the 04's any day now but they have not made any guarantees!! So while I'm cheching localy for a set of 245's Tire rack has offered to wait untill Monday before shipping to see what happens with the 04's & then ship them 2nd day air at no additional cost to me!!

The Saga Continues!!
