Bozomobile for sale, for good this time
Well, well... At least this time it's for the right reasons... You may recall I toyed with the idea of selling "my precious" before the holidays to get me a nice 356 again, I placed an ad for, oh, all of 1 hour and backed out of it... ;-)
Then, last week, Mrs Bozo decided to have a mini stroke, at the ripe old age of 29, and scare the crap out of yours truly!!! The doctors have no idea what it was - even after 4 days at the hospital, MRIs and EKGs galore - in fact Mrs Bozo now glows in the dark, all was negative except there must be an explanation for sudden dizziness and right side of the body being numb, especially the arm... Thankfully, not MS, apparently ! (take clown nose off, exhale sigh of relief, put clown nose back on). Maybe a pinched nerve or blood clot that dissolved eventually ? anyway...
So, Bozo decided to take the hint and put some order in the circus finances. The plan is for Mrs Bozo to quit her highly stressful job at the circus (human canon - actually pretty close to the truth), and retire for a while, to relax and maybe even pop a baby or 2... See if stress was the problem or not. That means one less income, and wouldn't you know it, Bozo could just about pay off his circus tent mortgage if he sold his 911 and a couple of investments, thereby vastly reducing monthly bills and allowing Bozoworld to function on one salary.
So... as much as it pains me, it's just a car, so here she goes again... 1996, Blue, 52K mi, only 7000 mi on new clutch, pads, discs and tires, RSRs, did pretty much all the maintenance found on P-car.com (from distributor caps to tranny oil, via hood shocks, pollen filters and interior mods). Dealer also did belts and harness recall, so there is precious little left to do for the 60K service !
For sale at $36000, pretty much non-negociable as it's a very nice car for the money in Bozo's not so modest opinion, considering he spent over $6000 on it this year to make it perfect. The car was bought from a non-porsche dealer so it has no previous history BUT (hold your horses, fellas) lucky me, it was always serviced by the same dealer I use, so they have the history - ha ha - in their computer, that's how I found out it had had the carbon buildup fix before I bought it ($5000) : more peace of mind to you ! You can check it there - Reeves of Tampa. And really, it's a nice car...
Hopefully she goes quickly, to a good rennlist member (who is not from Nigeria and does not offer to pay for it using a client's cashier's check), and Bozo can flip a nice bird to his mortgage company and contemplate getting a cheap 356 project during the coming year...

Cars become totally insignificant when it compares to your family. Best of luck to you and your wife.
Your humor will hopefully not be missed as I hope you will be staying around the board and regaling us with your endeavors in the short term with your SUV or 356 mechanical wizardry..... That is until things work out for you to get your next Porsche...

SUV ? The other bozomobile is a Mini Cooper ! ;-) Mrs Bozo does indeed drive a LAnd rover but that might be useful to tow the 356 one day !
Thanks for the support !

Bozo! I mourn your loss of you car and I pray for your wife's
fast recovery. But Greg the last thing you're gonna do is reduce
her stress if you guys start popping out babies! go to the park!
borrow your friends kids for awhile but you gotta think about this!
For instance today my 8 year old son wants to work hard for the
school raffle, so he gets off school comes home does his home
work and grabs his scooter, and goes out and sells 8 tickets at
$5 apiece! He is SOOoooo proud of himself, he gets on his scooter
and goes to Kmart and buys $30 of Bionicaltransfomertransporter
hotwheels cars and gives $10 whole dollars to the school!
Do you need this? Or when my 13 year old (when he was 8)
thought the zoom on our brand new camcorder meant it could
take really fast pictures, so he turned it on record and placed
it on the fender of my neighbors car (so it go REALLY fast) and
when it fell off at 30 miles an hour (The nieghbor never saw it)
he ran into the closet for 3 hours. Does this sound stress relieving??
Or when both boys were 3 and 8 they were playing hockey in the
living room with aluminum baseball bats and a tennis ball. The same
living room that housed my$10,000 reef aquarium. Now the bat
did not actually break through the glass but it cracked it. So that in
slow motion we saw the crack grow and grow in about 15 seconds
till the whole tank ruptured and 125 gallons of sea water, salt water
fish, corals and aquatic life went on to our new carpet. Does this
sound like stress reduction?? Take her to the forest, on a cruise to the
beach!! but think about this kid stuff! Now wheres my medication!!??
Bless both of you!

Greg,
So glad your wife is fine! I'm sure it was a heart-stopper for you, as well! You're doing a good thing by sacrificing for the wifey...your reward will come! My prayers for you both: for her health, and your eventual P-car re-instatement. Take care!
