Maybe at your local Porsche Service Centre?

You can buy 'em for $30 each, which is outrageous. I can probably 3D print a close replica for less than that. Stay tuned.

I agree on the outrageous pricing of these.
However, it is difficult to make a good copy of these. It consists of a black housing and an internal clear plastic light guide/fastener in order to transmit light to the triangle symbol.
3D-printed items of this scale I have seen seem to have a too rough surface and being too flimsy, such as the A/C switch cap prints.
Cheers,
Tore

You're right about the rough surface, however there are a number of treatments they can do post-built to get a near gloss finish. Similar parts I've done in nylon are plenty strong, too. Wasn't aware the triangle was a light pipe so obviously won't be able to re-create that. Next part I do I'll piggy back a little snap off part to see how it comes out. All I need is a someone to measure the length, width and height (maybe a pic of the back side) and I'll give it a try.

And even the spooled plastic that is sold as "UV-resistant" does not hold up very well inside the passenger compartment of a 911.

You really need to overmold the tiny triangular light pipe and then there is the issue with the graphic. Stickers don't work long term and the chances of your 3d printer supporting a high enough resolution are pretty slim. When you price out a dirt cheap chinese sourced multi-stage injection mold, it still doesn't make sense financially with these available from Porsche @$25USD.

This has a high enough resolution (6K x 4K on a D7100 with a macro lense) that you can pull drawings from it. For the backside I vaguely remember them just popping off with a slight tug? Good luck!

Thanks for the pic Jason. Is it just the small triangle inside the larger triangle that's transparent?

Sorry I don't remember and I'm not anywhere near a CCU at the moment. The button should just pull right off with a little squeeze.

Both buttons are missing on my car so can't look at one. Next time you're near a CCU, have a look and let me know about the transparent center.

I won't be back to the states until August. Hopefully somebody (Tore?) can pop one off before then!
