Default Tires for the Tramont Wheels - Michelin PS 4S - $825 installed

In preparation for the new Tramont wheels I began shopping for new tires. I wanted to stay with Michelin Tires and after some searching on the web, I settled on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires; 225/40 18 for the front and 265/35 18 for the rear.

Tire Rack
Front - $200.97
Rear - $229.97
Free shipping, no tax
Total for 4 - $861.88

Big Brand Tire and American Tire price was the same as Tire Rack however tax is an additional $63.53.
Total for 4 - $925.33

Discount Wheel Warehouse - https://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com
Front - $152.85
Rear - $175.12
Shipping - $17.26
Tax - $52.48
Total for 4 - $725.68

Big Brand Tires is a local tire company operating in Southern and Central California. I have used them for years. Great service and they have the Road Force balance machine and alignment machine. I contacted them and asked them to match Wheel Warehouses price. They did without hesitation. Not a bad savings. Most of the tire shops will price match. Tire Rack will not. However, if you buy from Tire Rack you’ll get two years of road hazard coverage for free.

When it is all said and done with fees and balancing I’ll be $825 out the door. I may be able to knock some more off using their Credit Card (5 % off) and a coupon for balancing. We'll see.

Thx for the legwork!... good job on the PM.

Note: Careful w that DWW operation as it comes up pretty low, 1 or 2 stars across the board online, plus an F from the BBB.

Costco also running a $70 off 4 & $60 VisaCard on Michelin through the Sunday. I think it was $840 all in after discounts, mount/balanced, for 225/265 on PS4s. And they kick back another 2% on everything.

Update..... I had the tires installed on Monday. The Road Force balance was an additional $28. And, because they price matched I couldn't use the 5 % discount on their credit card or any coupons. The out the door cost was $853.33. However, Michelin was offering a $70 rebate that I sent in for. If I get that I'll be down to $780.33.

What are you running for alignment specs in the rear specifically?

The PS 4S is the successor to the Michelin Pilot Super Sport....which was/is an Amazing tire. Just ordered these PS 4S for my Tramont Cups that are being delivered tomorrow. Will let you knows how they compare to the Super Sports.
