I am writing from South Africa -I have finally found a 993 carerra 1995 model that I am interested in buying -this is a 95 model that was imported to South Africa in may 1995 .it has an option code 718 which I understand is a 1994 car re-vinned to 95 for export to Canada or the usa ..but this is a RHD imported from U.K.? Its country code is england(C18) and it has a M6405-63R engine code -a ROW 1994 engine .Can you have a re-vinned 993 with option code M718 that was not exported to Canada or the USA but went to the U.K. whereafter it was subsequently exported to South Africa ?[/QUOTE]

thank you - I did read that ... but again it also says in that thread that m718 is a s-program vin change for Canada and usa only ... this car has the code but came from the U.K. ? So I guess I'm asking did they do this for cars going to the U.K. too? Cheers
