Rain Sensor
Yep, I haver one of the Hella jobs, though not on the 993.
It works by fitting a sensor to the windscreen (must be in the area swept by the wipers).
This has a lead that you hid down the door pillar somehow, and plugs into the top of a relay that replaces the standard wiper intermittent relay.
Then all you do is put your wipers to intermittent, and when it rains, the speed is controlled for you. Its handy for motorway work, when spray from lorries means you need to usually turn the wipers up.
I believe the ones offered by Gert are the correct model for the 993, as offered by Porsche as a retrofit. 996s had rain sensors fitted as an option I think, but the 993 didn't.
Cheers,
John.
