What is the best way to determine value of parts I pulled off the car during upgrades?
I have perused the classified section here but haven't had much luck.
I have the OEM headlights, shifter, e-brake.
Thank you in advance.

Its a question of demand and supply. One man's trash could be another man's treasure. If someone needs a hard-to-find part, they will pay royally because of limited choice. So I think it all depends on circumstance. Have you wondered why plumbers charge you an arm and a leg during emergency hours ? Same principle here.

You can always use new cost as a benchmark. 50% of new for a perfect desirable part down to 25% of new for a serviceable part not much in demand. Good rule of thumb.

Suggestion: Go to a recycler's site like DC Automotive in Rocky Mount, NC. See what they want for a good, used item, then discount yours to make it a good deal.

If IB added an auction section to this forum that would be a nice option for these scenarios.
