Default 16" D90 wheel on 993

Does anyone know if the 16" D 90 wheels fit over standard 993 brakes? (not big reds)

I would think a 7" wide D90 used on the front of the 944 S2 would fit.

How big is the OE spare?

I think the OE spare is 16x5.5
I'm not sure if the D90 has the same inner barrel dimensions or potential spoke clearance issues with the calipers.

Could be wrong, but I think the 6x16 D90 was the winter option wheel on the RS2. Those might have been 928 S4 calipers painted red?

Granted, I don't know the RS2 rotor size and if it is smaller than the 928. Also - supposedly there was a Big Red option for the RS2 which likely prohibited any 16" wheel fitment.

Porsche offered the 7.5" D90 for cars with the GTS calipers. Rare though, if you can find them they probably have RDK (928 TPMS).

I run D90s 16" on a 944S2 with the M030 brakes (infact 993 calipers and 928 discs) but the 16's will not fit on my 993 which has Big Reds. Should work but I can't gurantee it on a std 993. They look crap anyway.

Just throwing it out there: the D90 6jx16 ET52.3 wheel hits the front caliper face. I've ordered 6mm spacers from Rothsport to get some clearance. The rear clears the calipers fine.

I am new to 911s but not to offset on other cars. I hope that you don't poke too much. Wonder if a 3mm would do the trick? OCD me would consider spacing out the rears to match the fronts.....but I digress

You may be right. I'm still experimenting with everything. I'll probably start a new thread once I've had a chance to get things sorted.
