Default Part Number ID Challenge

Guys,

Knowing that the word "challenge" would get a quick response, here's one for the PET experts.

In the LF wheel well, upper rear corner, behind the fender liner and above the A/C expansion tank, there is a rubber "bootie" that connects the inner fender to the outer fender and protects the fuel filler neck. This rubber "bootie" has a special skinny, large diameter, worm gear (Breeze) clamp around it's base that is corroded and ugly. I can find the "bootie" in the PET, but neither I nor my Porsche dealer's parts guy can ID the clamp. It doesn't appear to be shown in the PET in this location.

If anyone can come up with a part number for this clamp, I'd be in your debt. Thanks, guys and hope all of you have a great Chrismas with your families.

Kim,

It looks OEM weird or foreign. Very narrow band and big diameter. I had my shop look at it to supply when the car was there for shocks and springs and they didn't recognize it as a typical (Euro) "Breeze" clamp.

Try 999 041 039 09, this is a steel snap ring 57mm x 2mm. It's NOT a worm drive clip but it is shown as the part holding the pipe in.

GMS,

Thanks a million. I'll order one and see what I get. Sounds like the right size.

Mike, I also came up with GMS's part number, the part description in PET is "Snap ring 57 x 2".

Good luck and Merry Cristmas
