Dear Rennlisters,
At times I get a "252" code in conjunction with a "2" code from Durametric software when running the DME module on my 96 Carrera.
Neither of these codes are in the Porsche 5.2 code list.
The 252 seems to be part of something called a data block and may simply indicate a communications error with the module.
The "2" CODE. may be the unexpected value received that triggered the "252" code, again I'm just guessing here. Can someone shed a light on this or validate my hunches?
As a follow-up, the two codes were in error related to a bug in the Duramatric software. Also, Durametric was making erroneous reporting on codes related to oxygen sensors. At this point, Durametric has applied a fix so make sure to use the latest version of their software available through their website.
Turns out the 252 & 2 error codes and some erroneous oxygen sensor codes are the results of bugs in the Durametric software. The latest version of Durametric has a patch to address these issues/
