Going up to Ojai with the misses for a few days and was wondering what would be a route/drive you guys recommend and how to find out if the roads are open.

We usually take the 1 through Malibu up to Ventura and then will probably take the 33 from the 101.

I looked around and it looks like there is a route from Ojai to the 126 to the 5 then through Frazier Park on over to Ozena Station.

Any other help would be appreciated.

I think some of the area around there will not be pretty these days, given recent fire and rains. Check before going. Good trip.

Highway 33 is probably one of the best roads in CA. Start early to avoid traffic, although there is always a slow driver who doesn't know how to use the turn outs. Have fun.

+1 on 33. Highly recommend you check road status with recent Thomas fire.
