Default My New 993 (PICS)

Hello everyone!

First, I'd like to say what a wonderful board this is. The 993 forum has been most helpful in my decision to buy a 993.

I have had two 944 Turbos in the past, and although they were fun cars to drive, I always had my eyes on the 993. The 993's have it all; looks, performance, and an overall presence that can't be explained, just felt. Simply put, they are visually stunning. Moreso than any other 911, past or present, IMO. When I located this beauty, I knew this was the right one. I'm already sliding down the 'slippery slope', but hey, it's a fun ride. Happy Holidays!

Congrats!

Hopefully I'll locate a car one of these days also! Try not to smile to much, those plastic surgeon visits can really start to add up (and take away from mod money).

Kitch,

Smiling is an understatement! Due to the weather, I haven't driven it much recently so she sits in the garage. Every morning as I get into the Audi, I can't help but stare at the 993 and think, 'How lucky I am and all those who are fortunate enough to own one of these.' I know this is a keeper since my wife has already mentioned how gorgeous it is; she NEVER says anything about my cars. That was a good sign. I was thinking about getting an indoor car cover but then I wouldn't be able to stare at it!

I like to cover mine whenever I'm not going to drive it for 1+ weeks. It's always a nice feeling when "unwrapping" it.

The Euro-Tail Lights make the car stand out. If you didn't have them I almost think it would be to much red. Gorgeous car my friend. Welcome to the wonderful world of 911 ownership. Enjoy and best wishes - Jay Gratton

Your going to love the PSS9's, do that as soon as you can. I waited a year and kick myself over the time I lost driving at SUV ride height.

Another good mod is the clear front corner markers, makes the car look so much better even with the bumperettes.

Thanks everyone, for the kind words.

Jay Gratton:

I agree that the european amber/red tail lights make the car stand out. The all red tail lights were a little too much red for me too. It seems that the PO had very similar tastes to mine and I'm glad he did these mods before I bought the vehicle. I was initially looking to get a darker colored 993 like black , arena red, or one of the blue colors since I have owned 2 944 Turbos which were both Guards red/black. After seeing this car in red though, I couldn't pass it up, especially at the price, mileage, and mods to boot.

Pete K:

I was thinking about doing the clear corner turn signals in front but I think I like the amber since they match my euro tails. JMO.
