Question

So what's the fuss about Speedline wheels' heavy weight? I don't see them being so heavy?

Viken, were those weights (ie. Speedline) 18"?

I don't know!

The 993 RS wheels, otherwise known as Rennsport wheels and made by Speedline, were only available in 18" sizes.

This sounds good,

my mechanic might have speedlines (18*8 & 18*10) with tyres for sale & I didn't consider them seriously 'cause I thought they aree so heavy (I was scratching my head because I couldn't fiqure out why Porsche put heavy wheels under RS?) <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

The Porsche 993 RS wheels are made by Speedline but they were/are not sold by them. The similar looking wheels sold by them are called Speedline Alesio's and may or may not be the same weight.

What a tough decision...I think right now it's between the RS wheels and FM/10s.
I think both would look great on a Speed Yellow Cab with the RS Aerokit. The edge goes to the RS wheels as of now although I hope to get to see Matt's Cab in Calif early next week.

Might want to check out the new 18" Fikse 1 piece forged wheel that should be coming out soon. I think Jim said it was going to be about 2 lb lighter than the present 3 piece wheel. The sample he had at the tech session looked good.

Guys,

those wheels are for sale (& I'm not buying).

They are fitted w/ SO2's (~3/4 thread left).

Price is $3500.

I haven't seen them but they are supposed to be in great condition.

FF,
Did you verify if these are in fact the Porsche RS wheels or are they Speedline Aliseos.
Also, can you send me the contact info for your mechanic?

Thanks much

Rick,

It seem now that I might buy them (little 'talking' going on about the price).

I'll let you know what happens & make sure wheather they are "Speedlines for Porsche" wheels.

I'll keep you posted & let you know what happens. I hoping to be able get there (soon, that is) and see them so if I'm not gonna buy them, I'll be able to let you know how good they are.
