Would this EBay item satisfy my need for something merely to remotely unlock the doors?

1. Why buy the remote when you may not have the OEM keyless entry?

2. Why buy a questionable unit off eBay when you could buy the new and returnable one at the dealer for about the same $ ?

You will not know the answers to either of these until you have attempted the programming. By then it will be too late. I hope I have saved you some frustration.

I just bought one from the dealer (It was about $125, I think). I would buy the one off Ebay. It is the correct version for the 993.

 

Hi, I just bought my 993 less than a month ago. When I got it I was given a remote just like the one on ebay but had no clue as to how to program it.

I had a Quiktrak security system installed that came with remotes that were able to activate the central locking and factory alarm and immobiliser.

This meant that I had no need to reprogram the remote that I was given.

On the weekend while surfing the net, I found the instructions on how to reprogram the remote on a 993.

If you want it, just email me with 993 remote as the subject line and I will email it to who ever wants it.
