I love the lightweight of the Fabspeed Maxflows, but I like the sound of the Fister II mod to the OEM muffler; so for me there is a trade-off...

If you like it loud and light, then the answer is the Fister III muffler mod!

OR

If you have the light Maxflow mufflers and you like it loud, Darin Fister can modify the Maxflows into Fister III's; but not Fister II's.

I currently run the Fister II's and Fabspeed's brushed wide oval tips, because I think it's the perfect sound for a 993, 911!

I am keeping the Maxflows stock so that if I ever sell my car, I can offer the prospective buyer an option between the two Muffler sets.

Here's a photo of the fabspeed white oval brushed tip.

I definitely recognize your car, have we worked together before? Looking sharp as always! Love the green. And thanks for posting up about the tips! Anyone want a set?? In stock!

Great feedback here! Sound is always subjective to the listener, but the Maxflo's definitely fit comfortable between the Fister I and Fister II as far as sound level. We also make a catbypass X-Pipe, and that setup is probably one of my favorite sounds on the 993. Aside from the RSR H/M Kit we make of course

If anyone following this post already has a catbypass X-pipe, now would be the ideal time to pick up some of our lightweight Maxflo's at a much reduced rate as the perfect compliment.

VIDEO COMING --- After finishing typing this, I'm heading out in our 993 to do a video for you guys! (Be gracious and give me at least a day or two to edit it and get it up! ). I might take the RSR clone out as well just for fun so you guys can hear how amazing that car sounds as well. Muffler Mics and everything! See you guys soon.

Who had a chance to check out the video? I really enjoyed taking these cars out for you so you could see how the exhaust setup sounds in real life.

Who is next for the group buy?? Maxflo Mufflers in stock and ready to ship at a huge discount!

If you're not having fun while you're working then whats the point?? My heart definitely skipped a beat on that one lol. definitely thought I was about to get pulled over because straight-piped, street-legal race cars have this weird magnetism when the 5-0 is around...

Just put on the catbypass pipes and maxflo mufflers on the 993 we have in the shop right now. I'll get a clip or two once it get's back from the body work, but boy does it sound incredible on the test drives. The air cooled itch is getting strong haha

looking forward to seeing those cilps John... in the meantime, here's a shot of what John is talking about: our Catbypass X-Pipe with Maxflo Mufflers (and Sport Headers in this shot).

Looking forward to seeing who wants to take advantage of this group buy next!

Jason, have you considered doing headers with heat exchangers? I live in Seattle, so I could probably do without them, but my wife would definitely not approve.

Hey Silver Surfer, thanks for the thought! Jealous you're in Seattle, love the West. We actually do make a system including heat for the 993---Our RSR Header/Muffler Kit. We build it with or without Heat Exchangers, and you can also go catless or include sport cats if you like. It's a very customizable system to suit your needs, and my goodness does it sound great in every configuration! Here's a clip of this system on the white RSR clone:

RSR Header/Muffler Kit with Heat and w/o Cats:

Here's what it looks like installed: (different heater Y-Pipe design pictured---updated silicone Y-Pipe included with kit)

Jason, is there a header option for those of us with the x-pipe that also includes heat?
