Many thanks to all who replied with help, comfort and humor!

Right now the car is with my trusted mechanic and he will probably suggest a body guy who does the work for his racing clientele. He showed me a few repaired cars at his shop today and I was blown away by the quality. Happy he was the first guy I called this a.m.

I'm an animal lover...but....maybe if I had aimed straight at the damned deer I may have been better off. Or worse off if the body smashed through the windshield, as I've seen happen out this way.

Craziest thing I've seen was a bear charging through a cornfield and smashing into a Miata a few years back. Car was a mess. Bear was knocked back onto his ***, shook himself off and ran back into the cornfield...
